Homestay with Language Course and Equestrian Activities
Have you ever considered an English Language Course that includes 4 -5 days of intensive riding in the West of Ireland with a great variety of tuition, including flatwork, show-jumping, and lessons in an all-weather arena or over an all- weather cross country course which caters for all levels of cross country rider?
This year, 2016, Language and Culture West has teamed up with Iceford Stables to offer our Homestay and Language Course with an Equestrian Holiday, to experienced riders
In addition to tuition, flatwork, show jumping and cross country, we include early morning rides for two hours on the beautiful sandy beach of Enniscrone. Here you will get to trot, canter and gallop through the waves, this ride is guaranteed to take your breath away.
We also spend a day (5-6 hours) exploring the Ox mountains. This ride starts on a beautiful forest track, which continues along quiet country roads around the quaint village of Attymass with fantastic views of the Ox Mountains, lakes and bog-lands on every side. The surroundings are serene and peaceful. This ride has a number of off road canter tracks along which you will see (although not obvious to the landscape) many old ruins and fascinating pre-historic and early Christian sites hidden along the way.
Enjoy a picnic beside one of the hidden lakes with your newly acquired equine friend!!!. You will enjoy hot tea/coffee and sandwiches and scones.
The minimum age for all activities is 12 years. (depending on the level of riding experience). Any person that comes on these rides will need to be have a strong canter (jumping experience would be an advantage).
